About Verifactu, VAT, withholding, and how Lúcido's AI works inside.
Not yet. Verifactu, the electronic invoicing system approved by the tax agency (AEAT), isn't mandatory for all freelancers until 2027. Lúcido's data model (sequential numbering, immutability of issued invoices) is already prepared to add that layer when the time comes, without redesigning anything.
Yes. Lúcido is designed for any freelancer or small business: retail, hospitality, renovations, plumbing, electrical work, transport, design, professional services. The lines of an invoice or quote are free text, with no templates locked to a specific sector.
From the lines you enter: each line carries its own VAT rate (0, 4, 10 or 21%), and the breakdown is always shown separately, never merged into a single figure. Income tax withholding (common for self-employed professionals, usually 15%, or 7% for new freelancers) is calculated on the taxable base if you set it.
The simplified invoice (article 7 of Royal Decree 1619/2012) is used for smaller amounts, normally under €400, or in certain sectors such as retail sales to the public. It doesn't require the recipient's Tax ID or full address. Lúcido supports it as a checkbox when creating the invoice.
To keep using Lúcido you need to choose one of the paid plans (Basic, Pro or Premium). While you decide, your invoices, clients and data stay saved. You can cancel whenever you want from Settings → Billing → “Manage subscription”; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid.
No. Lúcido's AI only calculates and assembles from the data you give it — it never makes up an amount, a Tax ID or a date. If an essential detail is missing, such as the amount to invoice, it asks before continuing instead of assuming it.
No. Lúcido works from the browser on your phone or computer, and can be added to your phone's home screen as a progressive web app (PWA), without going through the App Store or Google Play.
Yes. When a client accepts a quote, a single button turns it into an invoice: it copies the client and the lines, assigns a real invoice number and marks the quote as converted.
Yes. The connection uses Open Banking (PSD2): you identify yourself at your own bank and grant read-only access, so Lúcido never sees or stores your credentials and can't move money. Access expires after 90 days at most and Lúcido warns you beforehand so you can renew it. You can disconnect whenever you want and delete what was imported. Depending on your plan you can have 1 (Basic), 3 (Pro) or 5 (Premium) connected banks.
It shows you balances and transactions and matches them with your invoices: if a deposit arrives for the same amount as an issued invoice, it suggests marking it as paid with a tap. You can record the other transactions as income or expense with a category, or ignore them.
Yes. There are 6 PDF templates (minimal, corporate with a transfer QR, modern, dark editorial, monospaced and a line-item summary for quotes). You pick a default for invoices and another for quotes, customise the colours, choose your logo's size with a slider and can use a different template on a specific document.
Yes. Each line has a unit of measure (units, hours, days, m, m², m³, linear metres, kg, litres, km, trips or a lump sum) and there are shortcuts to add transport, freight or travel by the kilometre. You enter the amount.
Basic includes 1 user, Pro 2 and Premium 4, invited by email as a member or an administrator. With Premium you can also manage several businesses from the same account, each with its own data.
Yes. With the timer you say how long you'll take and Lúcido alerts you when time is up (and, if you turn on notifications, also with the app closed on most phones); you can extend the time with a tap. The inventory takes the material you use on each project off the stock and warns you when you're running low. Hours and materials move to a draft invoice, and each project shows its profit and margin.
Yes. Everyone has an invitation link in the app. Whoever signs up with it starts with 14 extra days of trial (28 in total) and, when they pay their first month, the person who invited them gets a free plan upgrade for 30 days: the Pro plan if they're on Basic, or more AI messages if they're already on Pro or Premium. Up to 12 rewarded invitations; upgrades chain together and can't be exchanged for money.
